More Dirt (and Some Worms) PleaseSaturday, July 14, 2007
Continuing to work on re-grading the front garden, we began today by first removing all the plants (which unfortunately haven't been looking so good - this soil just doesn't seem to support much life). To add volume and hopefully add some nutrients, we carried about forty cubic feet of good, worm-filled dirt around from the back yard and mixed it in with the top foot of existing soil. With everyone involved the process went fairly quickly, but this was still back-breaking work!

Then it was time to replant (our neighbors seemed to find this process a bit amusing and rather zen-like).

Included in the new planting is a special collection of Sedum that Jonathan's mom sent us Priority Mail from her very own garden!
